Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with AfterHome. We are committed to ensuring a smooth shopping experience. Please read our Return & Refund Policy carefully before placing your order.

Returns

We accept returns only under the following circumstances:

  • The product is damaged during transit.
  • You receive the wrong product.
  • The product has a manufacturing defect.

To be eligible for a return, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing hello@afterhome.in with:

  • Your order number
  • Photos and/or videos clearly showing the issue
  • A brief description of the problem

Claims submitted after 48 hours may not be accepted.

Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect product ordered by the customer
  • Minor variations in color, texture, or finish due to photography or screen settings
  • Damage caused by misuse, improper handling, or normal wear and tear
  • Products that have been used, installed, or altered

Return Approval

Once your request is reviewed and approved, our team will arrange a return pickup where available. If pickup is unavailable in your location, you may be requested to ship the product to the address provided by our support team.

Returned products must be:

  • In their original packaging
  • Unused and in resalable condition
  • Accompanied by all accessories and documentation

Refunds

After the returned product is received and passes inspection, refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.

Refunds will be issued:

  • To the original payment method for prepaid orders.
  • Via bank transfer for Cash on Delivery (COD) orders after bank details are provided.

Shipping charges (if applicable) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before they are shipped. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled and must follow the return process (if eligible).

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please email hello@afterhome.in within 48 hours of delivery along with clear photos and an unboxing video. This helps us process your claim quickly.

Replacement

Where possible, we may offer a replacement instead of a refund for damaged, defective, or incorrect products. If a replacement is unavailable, a full refund will be issued after verification.

Refused Deliveries

If a customer refuses delivery without a valid reason or provides an incorrect/incomplete address, the order may not qualify for a refund of shipping charges. Repeated refusals may result in future Cash on Delivery orders being declined.
